Team Everest started its journey in August 2006 when founder Karthee Vidya completed graduation and joined his first job. He donated from his first-month salary and collected funds from 3 of his friends to raise Rs 4000 to help children in a rural school in Tamilnadu. We used the funds to buy books and uniforms for the school kids there.After working in an IT company for 8 years, he quit his high paying job in 2014 to work full time on Team Everest.What started as a small activity, has taken wings over the last 14 years. Today, Team Everest work with 40,000 children a year with help from 25,000 proud Volunteers.Scholarships, Spoken English, Digital literacy, Soft Skill classes are some of their key initiatives. IAF India Animal Foundation

The organization was founded in 2005 by Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Bhopinder Singh and Mrs. Winnie Singh with the goal of spreading awareness on essential health affecting information among members of India’s uniformed services and their families. This included sexually transmitted infections (STIs), tuberculosis and HIV/AIDs. Since then, Maitri soon expanded its work to include education and sensitization to end violence against women as well as citizenship rights and health issues concerning migrant populations. In 2008, Maitri came across a unique and an extremely vulnerable population in Vrindavan, widows who were victims of domestic violence, inflicted by their family members, including their sons and relatives and rendered homeless and destitute to live on the streets of Vrindavan, begging. It was a heartfelt need to support and bring dignity into the lives of the homeless, destitute and abandoned widows of Vrindavan. One can say it was a crucial moment in the history of Maitri and formed a benchmark to work towards identity, dignity and respect. In July 2010, Maitri launched Project Jeevan in Vrindavan, Jeevan symbolizes life, a life with dignity. Maitri translates as Compassion, loving-kindness. Hence compassion in life and addressing another human with loving kindness was the motto for the projects birth. The project’s aim has been to ensure identity, respect and dignity to the ageing, homeless, abandoned and destitute widows. Due to circumstances they have been left abandoned and left homeless, to survive begging on the streets of Vrindavan

Maitri

Share and Care Children’s Welfare Society is serving the needy children since 1984.The main objective is to impart education freely to the underprivileged, orphan children, girl, physically challenged people and children belonging to scheduled caste and tribes in remote villages.We run a crèche,a primary and a high school and impart free education to 200 children. Our School is recognized by the government of Tamilnadu, but not aided. Due to financial constraints, we are unable to pay our teachers and needs of the children are not being met as we wish. Since these children are from poor families they need support for their betterment in this competitive world.This project area is situated in Katchur village, Poondi Block in Tiruvellore district.The children from the remote village have no transportation facilities and most of their parents are illiterate and undernourished. The children need better care and good education to support their families and their communities at large.Our schools are functioning since 1990 exclusively for these children and are now educating 200 children.Most of them work as agricultural labourers, wood cutters. They have seasonal work and no regular job. Bonded labour and child labour still prevail. Sending their children to school is not that important for their parents because of poverty. Unless these children are brought to school by the lure of free transportation, education and mid-day meals, they have every possibility of dropping out.

Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphans Welfare Society (SHEOWS) is a "home away from home" for the abandoned elderly of our country. The organization is registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860 and the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act, of 1976. Since the last 20 years we have been providing free shelter, food, cloth, medical care, love, and affection to the destitute, abandoned, homeless, and PWD (Person with disability) elderlies with the help of generous and mindful people of our community.The Old Age Homes stand with a Special Care Unit, 24X7 Doctors and nurses, Physiotherapy unit, Pathology lab, Digital X-ray monitoring machine, an in-house Pharmacy, and all the necessary equipment required to treat any sort of illness or disease. All these facilities are provided to the elderly completely free of cost. Most of these elders are picked up from the streets of Delhi NCR or brought in by Police/hospital authorities.Our caregivers facilitate a homely environment in the Ashrams and ensure the socio-emotional well-being of the beneficiaries. SHEOWS is currently running 2 old age homes , Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram of Delhi and Garhmukhteshwar, since 2003 &amp; 2008 respectively. These are the homes of 600 elderly residents who were found alone and abandoned, left to die on the streets. In the last 20 years, we have served over 7,000 elders out of which more than 2,600 have been rehabilitated back to home.The aim is to serve every destitute, orphan, needy, abandoned, specially challenged elderly by providing them free shelter, food, clothes, healthcare, love, and respect. We uphold a strong belief that helping aged people and spreading awareness of elderly care would not only give them a new life but also reduce the issue of elder abuse in society.We believe in the notion of “Vasudeva Kutumbakam” which means that the whole world is our family and this inspires us to serve every needy old aged person as our own family member. I wish to invite your kind notice that Santhivardhana Ministries is a not-for-profit organization and it is registered under societies registration act 35 of 2001 vide registration No. 129/2005. This organization has been maintaining a Special School for Physically and Mentally Retarded Children in both Day and Residential Care prospects from the year 2006. it has received a District Level award for Best Non-Governmental Organisation in 2011, 2016 &amp; this 15th August 2022 and State Level in 2018 from the representatives of the respective district and state. Further, it is submitted that there are 160 Mentally Retarded Children are rehabilitated in the School out of which 129 children are accommodated in Hostel in Pulimeru village, Peddapuram Mandal and 31 children at Bendapudi village, Thondangi Mandal of East Godavari District. Since the ultimate aim of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities is to prepare them for a meaningful contributory and participatory adult role in society. The rehabilitation components may include from womb to tomb at all levels. This project has established a special centre where mentally challenged persons received quality rehabilitation services such as special education. About 20 differently-abled persons were developed in various fields of skill development programmes, now they are leading their lives on their shoulders and 6 persons got Government jobs. Santhivardhana is also running an Adult Literacy program in Rajavommangi tribal villages of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with Literacy India Trust, Chennai since 2020. We found how illiteracy plays a vital role in their lives. We work on this project with the most deprived innocent people belonging to VALMIKI and KONDAKAPU communities. 15 trainee teachers were educating a total of 450 adult students, every 30 students per adult literacy class. Santhivardhana is extended its services to motivating women to take responsibility in the family by supporting his men in the leisure time that they will get in their day through Income Generation Program. Since 2015, after almost 7 years by taking support from other NGOs, 3675 people were benefited by encouraging 54 different micro-enterprises to the dwellers of 12 Mandals of East Godavari District. Promotion &amp; protection of human rights and dignity to live in equality, justice and freedom for the most vulnerable (orphan, disabled, old age people, children &amp; women) in the community through the implementation of social &amp; economic enhancement without the discrimination of caste, religion, creed and colour. We look forward to all of us joining hands and working towards a more equitable and fairer social order.

SPPD is a Non Profit, Charity and Community Development organization that envisions a secured &amp; sustainable community with focus on developing sections of society that are at risk and most deserving under five thematic areas. Education and skill development focuses on providing Quality education towards wholesome development for the under privileged children and Vocational skill training for rewarding careers to the rural youth. This is aimed at ensuring fundamental rights of the deprived children and youth.Similarly providing nutritious food supplements to the child victims of HIV/AIDS from pathetically poor families forms an important initiative of our organization. The intervention among women aims at developing women especially those from the resource poor and marginalized communities through building their capacity to become self reliant.SPPD promotes the organic farming methods for sustainable agriculture among the small dry land farmers in Tamilnadu. Similarly SPPD while extending relief and rehabilitation for the victims of disasters like flood, cyclones, earthquake, makes it a point to keep the poor communities disaster prepared, through continuous sensitization and training. Our target communities belong to the central districts of Trichy, Namkkal and Karur and the northern districts of Chennai, Trivellore and Kancheepuram of Tamilnadu state in South India.

Jeevan Aanand Sanstha (JAS) was set up in 2013, with the sole objective of catering to the destitute and homeless. Mr. Sandip Parab has been drawn toward helping the needy since his childhood. He moved to Mumbai when he was 24 and for the better part of the first decade worked with various social organizations serving women, HIV-infected, children, drug addicts, etc; but noticed that there were not many people or organizations helping the destitute senior citizens. He was moved to action, seeing these needy people on the streets; with no food, shelter, or healthcare. He started JAS, to serve as a bridge for the deserving needy. His vision, ‘Every forsaken person on the street of age 18 years and above lives a respectful life’ has led him to serve and help hundreds of people who have no one else.In this journey, he has observed so many senior citizens in rural and urban areas; who have children but still struggle for their day-to-day existence. The children are either not in the same city or are not in a position to care for their parents. He wants to be able to cater to these senior citizens, providing a place of residence that they can call ‘Home’, eliminating the sense of abandonment and instilling a sense of belonging in its place. As a country, and as individuals we have a moral and ethical obligation to ensure that these people are well looked after and cared for.
